Space and avionics: test beds
Astrium Space Transportation presented three of its headline products to celebrate the docking of the automated transfer vehicle (ATV) with the International Space Station, as well as a model of the future space plane.

The Prix Yves Rocard 2008, awarded this year to

Jean-Christophe Chanteloup (Ecole Polytechnique/LULI, Palaiseau),
Benoit Wattellier (PHASICS, XTech/Campus Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau),
Nicolas Guérineau (ONERA/DOTA, Palaiseau) and
Sabrina Velghe (PHASICS, XTech/Campus Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau) for the invention and marketing of a quadri-lateral shift interferometer (IDQL).
